E-commerce platforms featuring these four major platforms are now being probed in the French Republic for the allegation of permitting youngsters to obtain explicit information on their services, the French judicial authorities stated on this Tuesday.

The country's regulatory body had reported the retailers to the prosecution service on Sunday after expressing worries about the availability of minor-looking intimate products on Shein's platform during the weekend.

The investigative authorities explained that the online services are being investigated over graphic, pornographic or inappropriate messages that can be viewed by underage users.

One of the platforms commented that it takes the situation extremely earnestly. The other retailers have also been reached out to for their perspective.

These platforms are also facing probes over the spread of material related to minors that are of a adult nature, the agency said.

The issues have been referred to Paris' Office des Mineurs, the prosecution service noted. This division is an section of the national police that supervises the protection of young people.

The French consumer watchdog, the DGCCRF, had remarked that the products' product information and grouping left "minimal uncertainty as to the exploitative essence" of the products.

The scrutiny of the platform occurs while the business, which was founded in the People's Republic of China, prepares for the inauguration on this Wednesday of its inaugural fixed physical shop in France.
