Two Individuals Charged with Jail Killing of Lostprophets Singer Ian Watkins

Two men have been formally charged with murder following the incarceration fatality of one-time Lostprophets vocalist and adjudicated child sex criminal Ian Watkins.

The two men, Rashid Gedel (25) and Samuel Dodsworth (43) now face murder accusations and are scheduled to appear in Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, per law enforcement officials.

Watkins, 48, was serving a 29-year sentence at HMP Wakefield, with a further six years to be served on licence, after confessing to numerous sex crimes including the tried rape of a very young child.

Watkins was apprehended subsequent to a substance-related warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a large number of computers, mobile phones and storage devices were confiscated.
